Hazel Smith
Actuary
Hazel is an Actuary in the firm.
She joined SDA in 2010 after studying Financial Mathematics at the University of Surrey, and qualified as a Fellow of the IFoA in 2018.
She has carried out work on life, general and health insurance business and has experience of:
- claims reserving;
- Solvency II valuations;
- business plan solvency projections;
- product development and pricing; and
- risk analysis and management.
She led the team that initially developed our new software offering, SDA Frame, and still provides support and advice to the Frame team.
She chairs SDA’s Quality and Process Committee.
